The Boxcar Children are getting their own animated film series!

Shout! Factory and Legacy Classics have entered into a long-term, multifaceted production partnership and film distribution deal with plans to develop a slate of new family movies based on several best-selling classic and contemporary children’s book series.

The first project on the slate is a movie series based on the children’s book series “The Boxcar Children”, by Gertrude Chandler Warner.

Legacy and Shout! Factory plan to release three animated “Boxcar Children” movies, with the first of those films timed to the series’ 75th Anniversary in 2019.
