Peter Facinelli (“Twilight”) will star in and executive producer a new Fox event series about New England crime boss Whitey Bulger. ”Street Soldier chronicles the life of boxer and drug dealer Eddie MacKenzie as an enforcer for Bulger and details how he was able to extricate himself from Whitey’s gang without getting killed.” (Deadline)

Aaron Johnson has closed his deal to play ‘Quicksilver’ in Joss Whedon’s superhero sequel. The “Kick-Ass” star joins Elizabeth Olsen, who was recently set to play Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver’s sister. (Deadline)

Reclaim

John Cusack, Ryan Phillippe, Rachelle Lefevre, Jacki Weaver and Luis Guzman are starring in the suspense thriller “Reclaim”. From “Erskineville Kings” director Alan White, it tells of ”an American couple who head to Puerto Rico to finalize the adoption of their new 7-year-old daughter, a Haitian orphan named Nina. When take the time to explore the idyllic coast to bond as a new family, Steven clashes with an intimidating local (Cusack), and Nina disappears from her bed one night.” (Deadline)

Richard Gere is in talks to join the cast of John Madden’s sequel. Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Penelope Wilton and Maggie Smith are expected to reprise their roles from the original. No word on who Gere would play in the film. (Deadline)
