The Turning
“Florida Project” star Brooklyn Prince has secured a role in Amblin Entertainment’s “The Turning”. The haunted house thriller, also starring Mackenzie Davis and Finn Wolfhard, is a loose adaptation of the Henry James novella ”The Turn of the Screw”; a young woman hired as the nanny to two orphans is convinced that the country mansion they live in is haunted. Captain Marvel
DeWanda Wise (“She’s Gotta Have It”) has joined Marvel’s “Captain Marvel”, starring opposite Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law and Ben Mendelsohn. The Anna Boden-Ryan Fleck marks the first major movie role for Wise. (Deadline)
The Girl in the Spider’s Web
Lakeith Stanfield (“Get Out”) has locked down a role in Fede Alvarez’s “The Girl in the Spider’s Web” at Sony Pictures. The “Dragon Tatoo” sequel sees Stanfield play a NSA security expert tracking Lisbeth Salander (Claire Foy), as he believes she has stolen sensitive government information.Sverrir Gudnason and Sylvia Hooks co-star.
