It’s been rumoured for weeks, but now the official word has come in: Charlize Theron will play the villain in the upcoming eighth “Fast & Furious” film.
Theron joins a cast that includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black, with Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson and Kurt Russell also expected to return.
F. Gary Gray is directing the film which is set to bow on April 14, 2017. It’s set to launch a new trilogy of “Fast & Furious” films, with the ninth installment due on April 19, 2019 and the tenth on April 2, 2021. There are also plans for “Fast & Furious” spinoffs and sequels.
