Danny Boyle, speaking at Telluride where his “Steve Jobs” biopic bowed, says “Trainspotting 2” will likely be his next film.
“All the four main actors want to come back and do it”, the filmmaker tells Deadline. “Now it is only a matter of getting all their schedules together, which is complicated by two of them doing American TV series.”
Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle don’t have TV commitments but Jonny Lee Miller is on CBS’s “Elementary” and Kevin McKidd is one of the castmembers of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”.
The sequel, written by John Hodge, sees the aforesaid foursome come together to reprise their “Trainspotting” characters in a scenario that involves them working in the porno biz.
