Christian Bale and Oscar Isaac are set to star in director Terry George’s “The Promise”.
The indie film is set in the last days of the Ottoman Empire and centers on the relationships between Michael (Isaac), a brilliant medical student; the beautiful and sophisticated Ana; and Chris (Bale), who is a renowned American journalist based in Paris.
George and Robin Swicord penned the script. Producers are Mike Medavoy, Eric Esrailian, Ralph Winter and William Horberg.
Production will get underway in Southern Europe – including Portugal and the Canary Islands – this fall.
