Ansel Elgort (“The Fault in Our Stars”) will star in CIA drama “Code Name Veil”, reports THR.
“Kill the Messenger” director Michael Cuesta will helm from Matt Billingsley’s 2008 Black List script about “a rookie CIA agent who investigates the attacks against the U.S. Embassy and Marine barracks during the bombings in Beirut in 1983. When his station chief is taken hostage, the young and inexperienced agent finds himself turning to desperate measures to save his mentor”. The film is based on real life events.
Trent Luckinbill, Thad Luckinbill and Molly Smith are producing. Jon Schumacher and Ellen H. Schwartz will exec produce.
Production will kick off in Los Angeles on November 2.
