Hollywood Insider says a reboot of the 2005 film, itself based on a video game by ID entertainment, is in early development. No surprise, really. Still, we can thank the success of the similar-themed ”G.I Joe : Rise of Cobra” for the studio’s ramped up interest in the property, apparently. ”Uni is said to be script scouting for a Doom movie that’ll make full advantage of contemporary cinema’s richest weapon – er, 3D”, says the site.
Oh 3D, just go away. Please.
Makes up for the studio not doing Guillermo del Toro’s new film doesn’t it? Yeah.. nah, it doesn’t. At all.
