Hinting that the movie might actually get made this time – and soon, Deadline reports the long-gestating “Splinter Cell” has signed “Clash of the Titans” producer Basil Iwanyk.
Under his Thunder Road banner, Iwanyk has produced such films as “The Town”, “Firewall”, “Lost Boys : The Thirst” and, the aforesaid, “Titans” (and it’s sequel).
The Eric Warren Singer-written “Splinter Cell”, based on the video-game of the same name, stars Tom Hardy. New Regency have yet to announce who’s directing the movie.
