  • Zentertainment reports that Season 2 of “24” will hit DVD in the states, September 23. It’ll include all 24 episodes, 44 deleted scenes, alternate endings, commentaries, and assorted making-of featurettes.

  • Coming Soon reports that several new scenes are being added to the “Alien Resurrection” DVD that’ll be included as part of the “Alien Quadrilogy” 9 Disc-DVD set.

  • The Hollywood Reporter says Scott Foley has been asked back to TV’s “Scrubs” next season. Foley is set to reprise his role as a fumbling, insecure patient who developed a crush on his doctor, Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke).

  • Ed Begley Jr filled Moviehole in on what his next flick; “Stateside” co-starring Val Kilmer is about. “It’s the story of a young man who gets into trouble and is given the choice of jail or the Marines. He chooses the Marines and winds up in Beirut in the early eighties when the truck bomb destroyed the barracks and killed so many men. It’s based on the writer/director’s experiences”, says Begley Jr.

  • The A Boy and His Bird website report that New Zealand actress Rena Owen [“Once were Warriors”], Yuji Okumoto, Daymond John and singer Macy Gray have joined the cast of “The Crow : Wicked Prayer”.

  • Emily Bergl [Carrie 2 : The Rage] is tipped to play Claire Redfield in the upcoming sequel “Resident Evil: Apocalypse”, Dark Horizons reported.
