Enrico Colantoni will reprise his role as Keith Mars on Hulu’s upcoming “Veronica Mars” revival.
In the new season, spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica (Kristen Bell) is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.
Deadline, who had the casting news, also have a notice on Colantoni joining Tom Hanks’s untitled Mister Rogers film.
That one is based on the real-life friendship between Fred Rogers (Hanks) and Tom Junod. In the heart-warming story, a cynical journalist begrudgingly accepts an assignment to write a profile piece on the beloved icon and finds his perspective on life transformed.
Colantoni will play Bill Isler, longtime president & CEO of The Fred Rogers Company.
