Colin Farrell has joined the cast of Warner Bros’ Harry-Potter spin-off “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”.
Eddie Redmayne stars in the film with Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler. David Yates is directing from a script by “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling.
“Fantastic Beasts” is based on the Hogwarts textbook of the same name. Set in New York about seven decades before the “Harry Potter” story, the book follows the adventures of its author, Newt Scamander, a “magiczoologist”, or a person who studies magical creatures.
Farrell will play Graves, a wizard that Newt meets in New York.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens on November 18, 2016.
