Comic-Con : Ant-Man and the Wasp casts Michelle Pfeiffer and new footage shown

Comic-Con attendees got a first look at some new “Ant-Man and the Wasp” footage today, which likely won’t make its way online. Good news is that ScreenRant were in attendance and have described the footage for us that couldn’t make it:

“The presentation started out with concept art from Ant-Man and The Wasp and then proceeded to show Wasp in action, flying up to a ledge and looking down, as well as an approximately two-foot tall Ant-Man riding on a little girl’s backpack (presumably his daughter’s). Then, attendees saw more artwork, this time showing Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) in a white suit. The footage concluded with a car chase showing a van shrinking and driving underneath another car, and then growing back to its original size and flipping said car, with Giant-Man peeking out of an alleyway at the end.”

The production also announced the addition of Michelle Pfeiffer to the cast, to play Janet Van Dyne – who is the mother of Hope Van Dyne aka The Wasp (played by Evangeline Lilly). She was also one of the founding members of the Avengers in the 60s.  Pfeiffer also joins Paul Rudd as the Ant-Man, Lawrence Fishburn as Bill Foster aka Goliath, Hannah-John Kamen, Randall Park and Walton Goggins.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp” flies into cinemas July 6, 2018.
