The first trailer for the upcoming Bobcat Goldthwait film “God Bless America” has hit the net here at Hulu, and it looks amazing.
It stars Joel Murray (TV’s “Shameless”, he’s also the brother of Bill), and Tara Lynne Barr, a young actress who’s appeared in Disney movies and done a lot of stage work. It’s about a man (Murray) who has a major brain tumour, and starts to take revenge on all the things he thinks that are wrong with the world – bringing Barr along for the ride. Read: killing spree.
Goldthwait’s biggest claim to fame recently is his film “World’s Greatest Dad”, starring Robin Williams as a dad who hits paydirt when he capitalizes off his son’s death. This looks like it could be just as good. It’ll be out sometime around the American Spring, or Australian Autumn.
