Cuthbert hits the ice for Goon sequel

The “Goon” sequel has hired former “24” actress – and Kanuck – Elisha Cuthbert.

Cuthbert joins Sean William Scott for the sequel to the hockey-centric comedy, directed by, co-written by, and co-starring Jay Baruchel.

“Goon: Last of the Enforcers” also sees Liev Schreiber and Alison Pill reprising their roles from the 2011 original.

Says THR, “Scott is once again playing playing hockey enforcer Doug “the Thug” Glatt in a story that sees his team, the Halifax Highlanders, reunite with a host of new players during a pro lockout.
Cuthbert will play the outlandish sister of Pill’s character.”

Production begins June 21 in Toronto.
