Aquaman doing Sweet Girl from Netflix
Jason Momoa is doing a revenge action thriller called “Sweet Girl” for Netflix and director Brian Andrew Mendoza. Gregg Hurwitz and Philip Eisner’s screenplay focuses on a devastated husband who vows to bring justice to the people responsible for his wife’s death while protecting the only family he has left, his daughter.

Longer wait for Bridges
STX Films has pushed Chadwick Boseman starrer “21 Bridges” back – – – again. The studio decided to push the film to November 22 from September 27 after the trailer got a rousing response at Comic-Con a couple of weeks ago.

Suspira helmer flies with WB remake
Perfect anointment here. “Suspira” helmer Luca Guadagnino is circling a new adaptation of “Lord of the Flies” at Warners. They’ve been trying to do a remake of the William Golding yarn for a couple of years now and Guadagnino seemingly had an idea good enough for them to press go, finally.

Irishman in New York
Never wanted to book a flight to New York so much. The New York Film Festival has Scorsese’s “The Irishman” – which some lucky peeps have already seen and so is the goods- set as its opening-night film on September 27 at Alice Tully Hall. This is Marty’s first opener at NYFF.
