So last year I went on a week long road trip with a 10 year old, and as a result I now know the words to all the songs on the “Descendants 2” soundtrack. Consequently, I feel like it’s time for some new songs to learn the words to, and Disney Channel have heard my prayers, and greenlit “Descendants 3”, to come in 2019.
A new teaser was unveiled with Dove Cameron’s character Mal was contacted by a potential new villain in her father (watch above). The original cast including Cameron, Sofia Carson, Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart, Mitchell Hope and China Anne McClain will all return for the third film, and production has begun in Vancouver.
Deadline report a summer 2019 release for the film, which became an instant classic with the children of infamous villains taking on their own stories.
Synopsis and additional casting has yet to be announced, however the creative team behind the first films will return – Kenny Ortega to executive produce, direct and choreograph, from a script by Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon.
