Did The Informers do a Bad, Bad Thing?

Singer Chris Isaak joins the cast

Crooner Chris Isaak is returning to acting – you’ll recall he played Agent Chester Desmond in “Twin Peaks : Fire Walk With Me”, among other parts – scoring a role in the ensemble drama “The Informers”.

Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the script follows seven stories taking course during a week in the life of movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters, says The Hollywood Reporter.

”Wild Palms” star Amber Heard plays a sexually promiscuous woman caught up in the decadence of 1980s L.A., while Isaak will play a sex- and alcohol-obsessed father who takes his young son to Hawaii.

Heard and Isaak join a cast that includes Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke.

Gregor Jordan (“Ned Kelly”) helms the pic, based on a Bret Easton Ellis novel.
