Disney Channel’s latest film “Descendants” and it’s new comedy series “BUNK’D” will premiere back-to-back on the network on July 31.
“Descendants” centres on the teenage offspring of classic Disney villains – Mal (Dove Cameron) the daughter of Maleficent (Kristen Chenoweth), Evie (Sofia Carson) the daughter of the Evil Queen (Kathy Najimy), Carlos (Cameron Boyce) the son of Cruella de Vil (Wendy Raquel Robinson) and Jay (Booboo Stewart) the son of Jafar (Maz Jobrani).
“High School Musical” helmer Kenny Ortega directs, choreographs and exec produces the film.
Camp comedy “BUNK’D” is a spinoff of the series “Jessie” and follows the characters from that series, Emma (Peyton List), Ravi (Karan Brar) and Zuri Ross (Skai Jackson), as they head to Camp Kikiwaka, a rustic summer camp in Maine where their parents met as teenagers.
Miranda May, Kevin Quinn, Nina Lu and Nathan Arenas co-star in the show from creator/exec producer Pamela Eells O’Connell.
“Descendants” will premiere at 8 pm on Disney Channel followed by the premiere of “BUNK’D”.
