Danish director Niels Arden Oplev (“Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”) is set to helm US drama “Mr. Robot”.
The show centres on computer genius Elliot who, due to an intense anti-social disorder, connects with other people by hacking into their lives via computer.
Sam Esmail penned the pilot which he will exec produce with Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton.
Oplev is no stranger when it comes to helming drama pilots. Last year he directed the pilot ep of “Under the Dome” and he’s also helmed the pilot and several mid-season eps of “Unforgettable”.
