I try and restrain from swearing too much on this site, if only because my 4-year-old sometimes visits to check out Muppet images, and I know the ladies from the Fort Maggiston State Church Choir drop by from time to time, but Edgar Wright directing Johnny Depp as Kolchak!? Fuckin’ She-Ra baby! Love that!
“Scott Pilgrim” and “Shaun of the Dead” director Wright is perfect to bring the classic TV series to the big screen (and Depp’s a great fit for Kolchak) – that supernatural tone infused with the light, fun, blockbustery spooksphere is right up his alley. I think he can nail this. Can’t ask for a better passenger than Tommy Hanson either.
The Hollywood Reporter has more, but I’m sold.
