Edward Burns

Edward Burns is one of the few entertainers working today who continuously pays tribute to his working class roots. The actor/writer/director, who started his career as a driver for Entertainment Tonight, has managed to have a sought after professional life while maintaining a down-to-earth everyman persona.

His latest film, “The Fitzgerald Family Christmas” focuses on an Irish American family grappling with economic difficulties, domestic abuse, drug addiction, and illness during the holiday season.
A heart-warming and relatable comedy, the film stars a number of actors that Burns has worked with in the past including Kerry Bishé, Connie Britton, Noah Emmerich, Caitlin FitzGerald, and Michael McGlone.

I had the chance to sit down with the refreshingly laid-back star to chat about the development of “Family Christmas.”
