Not surprisingly, Charlie Kaufman has rounded up a terrific cast for his latest film. “Frank or Francis”, which tells of a battle of wills between an online bigger and a film director, already has Steve Carell, Jack Black, Nicolas Cage, Catherine Keener and Kevin Kline onboard; now, says THR, Elizabeth Banks and Paul ‘Pee Wee Herman’ Reubens have joined the cast.
Banks reunites with her “40 Year-Old Virgin” co-stars Carell and Keener on the musical satire.
Carell will play the film director, Black is the online film critic, Cage plays an actor who is famous for his high-concept films, while Kline will play the director of the world’s top-grossing movie as well as that character’s brother, who turns into an animatronic head. Banks will play a highly-regarded actress making formulaic comedy bombs who is having an affair with Carell’s Frank.
This sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun!
