The star of squeaky-clean romancer “Pride & Prejudice” is set to join squeamishly-dirty romancer “50 Shades of Grey”.
Jennifer Ehle, the Brit best known for playing Elizabeth Benett in the BBC’s original “Pride & Prejudice” mini-series, will play Anatastia Steele’s mother in the feature film adaptation of E.J James’ book, says Deadline.
Carla, played by Ehle, is a strong southern woman on her fourth marriage.
The actress, whose stateside credits include “Zero Dark Thirty” and “RoboCop”, joins Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson in the Sam Taylor-Johnson directed movie.
