Five young friends, Mia, David, Eric, Olivia and Natalia, drive out to a shack in the middle of nowhere in an attempt to help a friend with a crippling drug problem. Inside, they find the fiercely powerful and mysterious Book of the Dead, sickeningly bound in human flesh.

Unable to resist temptation, they read aloud from the demonic pages and unleash a violent creature on a bloodthirsty rampage,determined to possess, slice and dice its way through the entire group.
