Ezra Miller in talks to join Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Ezra Miller has his eye on Warner Bros’ “Harry Potter” spinoff “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”.

According to Variety, Miller is in early talks to play Kredan, “a person with magical powers who encounters magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) when he stops in New York City on his travels to find and document magical creatures.”

“Fantastic Beasts” is based on the Hogwarts textbook of the same name. Set in New York about seven decades before the “Harry Potter” story, the book follows the adventures of its author, Newt Scamander, a “magiczoologist”, or a person who studies magical creatures.

Katherine Waterston is also locked to star as witch Tina.

Meanwhile reports suggest Alison Sudol may be in line for the role of Queenie, Tina’s younger sister, and Josh Gad and Michael Cera are being considered for the role of Jacob, Scamander’s rival.

Author J.K. Rowling is writing the script from which David Yates will direct. David Heyman is producing.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is set to open on November 18, 2016.
