Fast & Furious helmer eyes a shooting in Times Square

Justin Lin (“Fast & Furious”) will direct “Times Square”, based on Focus Features’ newly-acquired Black List screenplay by Taylor Materne and Jake Rubin, says Variety.

Here’s the synopsis :

Set amidst the transformation of Times Square from New York’s seediest neighborhood to the commercialized Disneyland it is today, when a secret from his past is unearthed, a young man’s loyalties are divided between his neighborhood boss who raised him and the grizzled ex-cop who swore to protect him.

Lin, who recently departed the “Fast & Furious” franchise, is currently prepping the next in the “Bourne” series, which he’ll direct, and is attached to direct a film based on the doco “The Battered Bastards of Baseball”.
