Fifty Shades of Grey : What’s the verdict?

Though most critics won’t get a chance to gaze upon Dakota Johnson’s apple-shaped butt’ (I swear I read that somewhere) until later this week, a few lucky stockholders in Mommy Porn Inc have been lucky enough to get an early looksee at the highly-anticipated “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

One of the most known members of the ‘I Like to Watch’ brigade is one Kim Kardashian, who tweeted to her followers “Girls night watching a private screening of Fifty Shades of Grey!!!!!! OMG it’s sooooo good!!!!!”.

That recommendation alone has my hardrive needing a fan boost, I’ll tell you! But some other wannabe Eberts had equal praise sure to solidify confidence in the end result :

Julie O’Mahoney, 26, said “The movie was much better than the book.”

Apparently there’s no sign of the rumoured off-screen hate between stars Jamie Dorman and Dakota Johnson on screen.

Fernanda Capolina, 26, said “I heard that they didn’t like each other in real life, but I thought they were fine..The chemistry was amazing.”

Danielle, 21, said “it didn’t disappoint, it was awesome. It’s a funny movie, surprisingly—they know what we like.”

Azucena, 15 (!), said “I really liked the elevator scene.”

Roberta Curry, 48, said “It was definitely what the fans were expecting.” And yet: “I was shocked every time they flashed a little pubic hair. There were a couple times when I was like, “Oh, THAT’S why it was rated R!’”

You can check out the film – rated ‘R’ for ‘unusual behavior’ (I believe that most Jim Carrey films also carry the same warning) – this Valentine’s Day.

Anyway, I’m off to slip into a leather singlet and whip a highschooler.
