Now that “Akira” has finally gotten the green-light and has found its director in the form of Jaume Collet-Sera, Twitch film is reporting that both Helena Bonham Carter and her quirky self as well as “The Dark Knight Rises”‘ Gary Oldman have been offered roles in the Japanese anime flick.
Twitch reports that Gary Oldman has been offered the role of Colonel while Helena Bonham-Carter has been offered Lady Miyako.
Does that mean a role with Johnny Depp’s name on it isn’t too far off?
As previously reported, “Tron Legacy” actor Garrett Hedlund is the front runner for one of two lead roles.
