Gina Carano has joined the cast of the “Kickboxer” remake.
The “Fast & Furious 6” star joins Alain Moussi, Dave Bautista, Georges St. Pierre, and Jean-Claude Van Damme (playing the mentor role this time) in John Stockwell’s new take on the martial-arts classic.
Kickboxer follows Kurt Sloane (Moussi), a talented martial artist who travels to Thailand, where he must learn the secrets of the kickboxer to avenge his brother’s death at the hands of Tong Po (Bautista). Carano will play a fight promoter.
The Hollywood Reporter says Sara Malakul Lane will play Moussi’s love interest.
