Hailee Steinfeld will join Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow in “Pitch Perfect 2”, reports Variety.
Elizabeth Banks will direct the sequel for Universal and Gold Circle from a script by Kay Cannon, who also wrote the first film.
Banks will produce with Max Handelman for their Brownstone Prods banner along with Paul Brooks of Gold Circle Films.
The pic is set to hit the big screen on May 15 next year however plot details are not yet known.
The first “Pitch Perfect” film made $115 million at the international box office from a budget of $17 million. The sale of over a million soundtrack units helped to bolster the income also.
