Hangover duo reunite to form production company

Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper and Todd Phillips have joined forces to form their own production company, reports Variety.
The pair has signed a three year deal with Warner Bros. with the company remaining unnamed at this time.
“Todd and Bradley have deep personal ties throughout the Studio and we couldn’t be more pleased that they are combining their immense talents into what promises to be one formidable production company,” said Greg Silverman, President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production at Warner Bros. Pictures. “The entire Warner Bros. family is excited about the great movies we know will come from this collaboration of two highly successful and original filmmakers.”
The first project on the new company’s schedule will be Phillips’ next directorial project “Arms & The Dudes”.
The pic centres on two stoner kids who, after becoming arms dealers for the US government, land a $300 million contract that gets them in way too deep. The film is based in Guy Lawson’s Rolling Stone article that chronicles the events.
“Todd is one of the smartest, coolest guys I know,” Cooper said. “He also happens to be one of the best filmmakers in the business and I am honoured and excited to be his partner.”
“Bradley is a tremendous talent and one of my closest friends,” said Phillips. “He is the hardest working guy I know and he truly loves all aspects of filmmaking. The pairing of his intense focus and my good looks should make for some fun, and hopefully compelling, projects. I look forward to causing some trouble with him.”
Cooper and Phillips have previously worked together on hit pic “The Hangover”, a film which grossed over $469 million internationally. “The Hangover” was also the first film produced by Phillips’ Green Hat Films which was established at Warner Bros. in 2005.
Cooper’s 22nd & Indiana Pictures saw the star partner with Warner Bros. when the company was formed in 2012. The actor is currently starring and producing in one of the first projects acquired by the company, “American Sniper”, which is currently filming in Morocco and Los Angeles. The Clint Eastwood directed pic adapts Navy SEAL Chris Kyle’s autobiography.
