Helena Bonham Carter wants Cinderella back before midnight

Helena Bonham Carter

Kenneth Branagh has snared Helena Bonham Carter to play the Fairy Godmother of his upcoming “Cinderella”, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The “Dark Shadows” actress will feature prominently in the film, with the trade reporting “The fairy godmother will be getting more screen time in this version than in Disney’s classic animated movie, with the character disguised as an old beggar who watches over Cinderella before revealing herself as the magical being she truly is.”

Disney’s new take on the fairytale classic features a diverse cast including Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Richard Madden.

Bonham Carter, soon in Disney’s “The Lone Ranger”, will likely get her ‘Godmother’ on in the Fall, when it’s expected the film will begin it’s shoot in London.
