With production on the fifth season of “Homeland” set to kick off this week in Berlin, four new series regulars have been signed.

Sebastian Koch, Miranda Otto, Alexander Fehling and Sarah Sokolovic will join returning stars Claire Danes, Rupert Friend, F. Murray Abraham and Mandy Patinkin in the cast of the hit show.

Koch will play Carrie’s boss, German philanthropist Otto During; Fehling will play Jonas Happich, legal counsel for the Düring Foundation and Carrie’s boyfriend; Sokolovic will play Laura Sutton, an American journalist in Berlin who works for the Düring Foundation; and Otto will play the current Berlin Chief of Station Allison Carr who works directly under Saul Berenson (Patinkin).

“Homeland” season five is set to pick up two years after Carrie Mathison’s ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief. Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the “war on terror,” Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm.

Keep an eye out for the 12-episode season which is set to air this fall on Showtime.
