Neil Patrick Harris can let those blue balls rest for a while.
Seems the ‘humans’ aren’t invited back for Sony’s next “Smurfs”. The threequel, according to Variety, will do away with the live-action component of the franchise and go one-hundred percent CGI. This would suggest that The Smurfs aren’t going to wander out of their village next time around.
But… what about the evil Gargamel, who lurks about the Smurf Village? Is he not a human character? Guess Hank Azaria’s being replaced by a soulless iBook creation next time, too?
The third film is due for release August 14, 2015.
