Caffeinated Clint
We learned recently that Universal now had the rights to Anne Rice’s “Vampire Chronicles” series and was planning to relaunch with the film series- even redoing “Interview with the Vampire” and “Queen of the Damned” – with the help of uber-producer Brian Grazer (“The Da Vinci Code”) and writer/producer/filmmaking duo Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, of “Star Trek” and “Transformers” fame.
The Wrap adds one more name to the line-up of those working on the relaunch : Josh Boone, director of this year’s “The Fault in Our Stars”.
Boone would also produce the untitled film, which will reportedly be a mix of the books“The Vampire Lestat” and “Queen of the Damned”.
Before tackling Lestat, Boone will tackle the King.. Stephen King; the filmmaker is currently attached to direct the feature adaptation of Stephen King’s “It”
