Marc Webb, director of the recent “Amazing Spider-Man” movies, tells /Film that he doesn’t regret not being able to conclude the ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy he set up.
As far as the filmmaker is concerned, he’s glad Spidey is back at Marvel Studios where he’ll be a part of not only a new “Spider-Man” film (with Jon Watts at the helm) but the next “Captain America” movie.
“No, I’m very excited for all the folks at Marvel and what they’re going to do with that character. I think he belongs in that universe and there’s a real excitement to see what they come up with. Maybe we’ll all be on a panel someday, Sam, me and whoever directs it.”
Meantime, Drew Goddard tells io9 that the “Sinister Six” spin-off movie he was spearheading would’ve also starred ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ star Andrew Garfield.
