James Wan and Gary Dauberman team up for Salem’s Lot

Stephen King fans, get excited as there’s another adaptation on the way! “Salem’s Lot” is being developed by New Line Cinema into a big screen production, based on the novel by King from 1975.

James Wan, Roy Lee and Mark Wolper are set to produce, with Gary Dauberman (“IT”) to write the script. “Salem’s Lot” will be Dauberman’s sixth theatrical collaboration with New Line.

Tobe Hooper previously adapted the novel into a TV movie in 1979, and a miniseries was released in 2004. “Salem’s Lot” follows a writer who returns to the town of Jerusalem’s Lot, where he lived as a young boy, only to discover everyone he used to know is now a vampire.
