Jennifer Aniston & Jack Huston join The Yellow Birds

Jennifer Aniston and Jack Huston have signed on to join Tye Sheridan and Alden Ehrenreich in “The Yellow Birds”.

Alexandre Moors is directing the film based on the novel by Iraq War veteran Kevin Powers which follows two young soldiers who become friends in boot camp and promise to always take care of each other — a pact that gets more difficult to uphold as the war goes on.

Aniston will play the mother of Ehrenreich’s character, while Huston will play Sgt. Sterling (Benedict Cumberbatch was initially attached to play the role but subsequently dropped out).

Mark Canton, Courtney Solomon and Story Mining’s Jeffrey Sharpe are producing with Jim Kohlberg serving as executive producer.
