Jeremy Saulnier to helm Hold the Dark adaptation

A24 has set director Jeremy Saulnier (“Green Room”) to helm “Hold the Dark”, an adaptation of William Giraldi’s thriller novel.

Saulnier will direct from a script written by his creative partner Macon Blair.

“Hold the Dark” is described as an intense tale of fate, family and revenge set in the remote Alaskan wilderness. The story centres on a hunter who is attempts to track a pack of wolves that took a child from a village. His mission leads him down an increasingly dark and shocking path as he confronts the cruelty of nature and his own failures as a man.
