John Hughes movie being rewritten by Jim Hecht

Jim Hecht (“Ice Age : The Meltdown”) will rewrite one of the last script’s famed screenwriter and filmmaker John Hughes (“The Breakfast Club”) wrote before his sad death.

Deadline says Hecht is rewriting Hughes’ script for “The Grisbys Go Broke”, which “is about a family whose greed takes them from a contented life to move to Mulletville, selling all their possessions to do it. Stripped of their wealth, they have to start all over.”

The film is set up at Paramount, where Hughes made such movies as “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Some Kind of Wonderful”.

Hard job rewriting Hughes I’d imagine!?
