Jordana Brewster has been added to the cast of Fox’s “Lethal Weapon” pilot.
The drama pilot is based on the 80s action film franchise about LAPD detectives Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, originally played by Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.
Brewster will play Dr. Maureen “Mo” Cahill, the LAPD’s straight-shooting hostage negotiator and in-house therapist who “occasionally gets stuck with a real hard case like Riggs” (via EW).
Damon Wayans is attached to play Murtaugh and Golden Brooks will play his wife, Trish Murtaugh. Riggs is yet to be cast.
Matt Miller wrote the pilot script. McG will direct.
