Jude Law to join Depp in Fantastic Beasts follow up

Jude Law has been cast as the young Dumbledore in the sequel to “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, which is a J.K. Rowling spin off of the all-time favourite ‘Harry Potter’ series. As we saw at the end of the 2016 movie, Johnny Depp was revealed as infamous wizard Gellert Grindelwald. Anyone who is familiar with the books will know that Albus Dumbledore and Grindelwald were friends when they were in their teens, but grew apart, and Grindelwald soon became one of the most powerful dark wizards in history.

This means that Law and Depp will have a lot of on-screen time together, which is pretty much what every middle aged lady has erotic dreams about.

Author J.K. Rowling has commented about the Dumbledore and Grindelwald duo, stating “Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald, and that added to his horror when Grindelwald showed himself to be what he was. You will see Dumbledore as a younger man and quite a troubled man. We’ll see him at that formative period of his life.”

Law, once upon a time, was the king of the chick flick (well, he was when I was a teenager and swooned a lot), but has more recently been seen in more action and adventure films such as the Sherlock Holmes trifecta and the upcoming King Arthur.

He will join “Fantastic Beasts” cast members Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterson, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler in the sequel, which has a Rowling-written script and director David Yates returning to the helm. The upcoming flick marks the 2nd in a series of 5 to be released.

Still a while to wait, with the flick not apparating into cinemas until November 16, 2018. Ta to THR for the news.
