Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Jason Sudeikis join Mother’s Day

First he brought us “Valentine’s Day” and then he moved onto “New Year’s Eve”. Now director Garry Marshall is developing his next ensemble film set on a holiday, and this time it’s “Mother’s Day”.

Deadline brings word that Julia Roberts has signed on to star and Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis are currently in negotiations to join the cast of the pic (and if “Mother’s Day” is anything like Marshall’s previous ensemble pics, it will be a star-studded cast at that).

Marshall will helm “Mother’s Day” from Anya Kochoff-Romano and Lily Hollander’s script about the lives of several mothers as the title holiday approaches.

Production has been slated to kick off in August.

Producers are Wayne Rice, Mike Karz of Gulfstream Pictures, and Kevin Frakes of PalmStar Media. Palmstar’s Ankur Rungta is exec producing.
