Justice League to fly this year… and with The Rock!?

Is Lorena Bobbitt running DC? Because the guys definitely seem to be biting off more than they can chew!

If packing a “Man of Steel” sequel with not only the title character but a ‘legion’ of other super fellas, like Bats and Wonder-ful Diana, isn’t enough, there’s now scuttlebutt – but reasonably solid scuttlebutt (careful getting that stuff on your shoes! It’s hard to get off!) – that a “Justice League” movie will shoot back-to-back with “Man of Steel 2” “Batman vs. Superman”. Yep, like a 17-year-old jock on prom night, someone’s in an unnecessary hurry to get to the finish line.

Latino Review says the soon-to-lens “Justice League” is actually the movie Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been courted for, and is the secret project he’s been hinting at over at the blue bird. FYI : The consensus is that Johnson’s being prepped to play the next filmish incarnation of Green Lantern, a character who’ll unarguably be a part of any “Justice League” movie.

the current thought amongst some insiders is that Batman vs Superman and Justice League are going to be shot back-to-back, ala The Hobbit films, the Pirates of The Caribbean sequels, and the latter two Matrix flicks.

Besides wanting to catch up to Marvel, who are about to get their second superhero team-up movie underway (“The Avengers : Age of Ultron”), the motivation to shoot “Justice League” as soon as “Batman vs. Superman” wraps predominantly has to do with cast availability, according to the site.

WB want to “maximize everyone’s schedules. Ben Affleck is a busy man, Henry Cavill is in-demand, and Johnson is a workaholic. Not to mention Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and the rest of the unannounced cast are no slouches either”, LR states.

Another reason to do it so soon is “Because Batman vs Superman is going to end with an insane cliffhanger/teaser that leads right into Justice League and, like those other back-to-back productions, they want to be able to deliver the second film within a year to strike while the iron is hot. Could this very aggressive approach be how DC intends to pull the rug right out from under rival Marvel Studios? Sure could be.”

There have been rumours that Nightwing, Flash, Green Lantern and a couple of other superheroes were going to appear in “Batman vs. Superman”, and Latino Review say that’s definitely a possibility, suggesting “[they] might all just be leading to a single gigantic group cameo before the credits roll, starting a fever pitch of anticipation for Justice League in 2016.”

I, like the rest of you easily-suckered moviegoers, will be the first-in-line to see a “Justice League” movie… but that doesn’t mean I don’t want it to be done right, and for DC and Warner to earn the tag-team movie. Shooting one as soon as “Batman vs. Superman” might seem like a sound idea business-wise, but creatively? The result would seem as unpredictable as a date with a nice-smelling but sharp-toothed whore. Didn’t the backlash against the whole George Miller-helmed “Justice League : Mortal” – which was justifiably canned before production – teach the Super-suits anything?
Still, let us little onions stay peeled, it might turn out OK..
