Next Divergent gets some Lee way

Lee Toland Krieger (“The Age of Adaline”) is in talks to direct ”The Divergent Series: Ascendant”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The filmmaker steps in for Robert Schwentke, who directed the previous two installments in the series and who opted out of returning to helm “Ascendant” because he needed a break and wanted to spend some time with his family.

“Ascendant”, shooting this summer in Atlanta, Georgia, is due out June 9, 2017.

Theo James, Miles Teller, Naomi Watts, and Jeff Daniels are back for the film.
