The four-quadrant action-adventure holiday comedy Red One also stars Chris Evans and Kiernan Shipka.
Jake Kasdan directs the film, of which the plot is being kept under wraps.
Chris Morgan wrote the script.
Liu can next be seen in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Disney Animation’s Strange World.
