Macaulay Culkin is Home Alone again!

While most expected he’d probably prefer to spin-around on the carpet, with some old “Rabbit in the Moon” vinyl tied to his kneepads, summoning Gozer the Gozerian with a chant and donkey milk, Macaulay Culkin has returned to his “Home Alone” roots! Seems the dude likes money just as much as the rest of us.

Kevin McCallister returns – seemingly still living in his parent’s house, eating nothing but carbs, and stuck with a VHS still, unable to upgrade to a DVD player – for a new ad in which he stops the wet/sticky bandits from robbing his abode again with the help of his trusty Google assistant.

Nearly 30 years after the iconic movie (30 years? But the guy looks about 17! Is cheese pizza the secret?), McCallister is using Google to do his shopping and laundry, handle the temperature in the house, play his favorite movie, and operate his anti-burglary system – still as dependable as ever. Sadly, scenes of Mac asking Google to repeat the box-office numbers on “Home Alone 3” – which he wasn’t in – were cut from the bit, I’m guessing?

While it’s improbable we’ll ever see Culkin in a new “Home Alone” – he could play the father? Get on that Fox! – the sandy-haired thesp hasn’t shied away from yakking up his involvement in the films. He recently did a reddit AMA where he was asked which of the two “Home Alone” films he starred in was his favourite. “The first one was more fun because we didn’t know what we were walking into and it was a lot less flying all over the place,” Culkin said. “It was all in Chicago. It also had 100% less Donald Trump.”
