No surprise, after the rousing reaction his character received after reprising his web-slinger for Spider-Man : No Way Home, but all points towards Tobey Maguire strapping on the red tights again for a Sam Raimi-directed Spider-Man 4.
In an interview with Comic Book, Spider-Man 3 and Spider-Man : No Way Home star Thomas Haden Church revealed that there were whispers of both the actor and director, respectively, reuniting for a new sequel to their original trilogy.
“There’s always been some kind of…I’ve heard rumors…that Sam Raimi was going to do another [Spider-Man] with Tobey [Maguire] and if that happens, I would probably campaign to maybe at least do a cameo.”
Raimi had expressed interest in returning to Spider-Man after returning to Marvel Studios to direct last year’s Doctor Strange sequel. He, of course, was once in deep development on a Spider-Man 4 too.
