Mark Hamill on his Trickster reprisal

It was recently announced that Mark Hamill would reprise (sort of) The Trickster for The CW’s “The Flash”.

Talking to IGN, the “Star Wars” star said talks about him returning to the role he originated in the ’90s “The Flash” are still in the “embryonic” stage – but sounds like it’s happening all the same.

“Well listen, it’s really in the embryonic stages. We discussed it over the phone. I like these guys, what they’ve already done with the show. I’m a fan. I had watched all seven or eight episodes that they had at the time. When they asked me to be a part of it, the last thing I was thinking was that I would be returning to that specific role, but I think you’re going to be really pleased with what they’ve come up with. It was totally unexpected.”

Reprising that role is much like bringing back Luke Skywalker, says Hamill.

“I said this before [about Luke Skywalker]. It’s like putting on an old pair of pants in the back of the closet and finding out there’s a 20 dollar bill in the pocket. It’s like ‘Oh, wow! I forgot all about this!’ And it’s more enjoyable because it’s so unexpected.”
